Construction Traffic Management Plan

A Construction Traffic Management Plan is a mandatory requirement for local Development Applications and obtaining a Construction Certificate once your DA is approved.

The purpose of a Construction Traffic Management Plan is to outline the measures that will be implemented to manage construction traffic and pedestrian movements during the construction phase of the project. It includes measures to manage the movement of construction vehicles, the provision of pedestrian access, and the management of public access to the site. The Construction Traffic Management Plan is drafted to site-specific and local council planning requirements.

How does it get made?

When creating a Construction Traffic Management Plan, there are a lot of things to consider. We take care of it for you. You tell us what the go is, and we work it out. This is generally what happens when creating a Construction Traffic Management Plan.
-
You brief us on the special event or Construction Project and we discuss the requirements, such as needing Council DA Consent requirements and conditions.
-
We determine the impact the Construction Project is likely to have on the road network
-
We identify key requirements identified in the local council DA Consent or event planning requirements.
-
We identify the daily traffic flows (this is needed to determine the signage type and size) and whether the roadway is an State Government, Local Government-, or privately controlled asset.
-
We determine local conditions such as the road speed, location of speed limit signs, any conflicting signage requiring concealment, roadway condition and usage, schools, bus stops, driveways, emergency services etc.
-
Once all this information is obtained our professional and accreted design personnel will tailor a Construction Traffic Management Plan specifically for your worksite and in compliance with all identified conditions.
